Project details

This property was transformed from a tired bungalow, to a bright and modern home. The stunning glazed roof that expanded across the width of the house not only gave this extension a unique touch, but was a great way of filling the home with natural light.

Solution

For this project we removed the conservatory and in its place designed a ground floor rear extension, which accommodated the open plan kitchen, dining, and living area, with a wood burning stove in the far corner. The whole way across one side of this room was a glazed roof, plus two sets of floor to ceiling glass doors out towards the garden. Two skylights were added into the hallway, and one in the newly created utility room. A master suite was designed towards the front of the property, with an extra bathroom next to it… there’d be no morning queue for the shower in this home!
