"Our client was looking to create a space that was modern, but with a calming feeling. They wanted to develop a light and airy ground floor extension, by merging the dining room and kitchen, and filling this space with natural light. They were looking to create a master suite in the loft conversion, but were not quite sure on what layout this should take. "

Project details

Resi's aim here was to create a modern and calming extension for this couple, somewhere they could relax and feel at home. These clients went all out, not only extending the ground floor, but undergoing a loft conversion as well... quite the project!

Solution

In order to create an open plan kitchen and dining area, I decided to remove the wall between the two rooms, with the rear extension opening up this space even more. For the loft conversion, the master bedroom took up most of the floor area, with a large wardrobe, and ensuite in the corner. The front of the conversion consisted entirely of storage. In order to fill the property with light, bifold doors expanded across the rear on both floors, and three skylights were added to the loft.

Solution
