Planning & Survey
Everyday across the UK we help homeowners secure planning permission and understand their permitted development rights.
For customers who do not have access to existing floorplans of their property, we offer an on site measured survey service. This involves visiting the property and using cutting edge technology to accurately capture the existing dimensions and elevations of the property.
Once the existing floorplans have been finalised we begin the design process with a telephone consultation to understand your project in full. We will then propose a design using 2D floor plans.
When you are happy, we produce the 2D external elevations required by planning authorities.
We then help you submit the necessary forms to secure planning permission or certify your permitted development.

Where required we can offer an on site measured survey to gather accurate dimensions and elevations of the existing property. The process typically takes between 2 - 4 hours depending on the size of the property. Alternatively many customers are able to supply existing drawings which along with some dimension cross-checks enable us to get started on the proposed design without the expense of a measured survey.
We will also start the briefing process using our online platform. From here you’re able to upload information and explain to us exactly what you are looking to achieve.

This helps you to understand the art of the possible, and gives you the confidence that it’s not just robots doing all the work, and we really do know what we’re talking about.

Proposed 2D Floorplan
Once we’re happy that the existing plans are accurate and you have explained what you’re looking to achieve, our architects can get started with your bespoke designs.
Included in your package is a free revision. This is done by sharing our screen with you live, to talk through any changes or concerns about the project.
Copies of your designs will be available to download on our platform and we can talk you through the next steps.
Planning Applications / Lawful Development Certificate
We will determine what type of permission, if any, you require. We will guide you through the process, whether you just need a Lawful Development Certificate to certify your permitted development or a full planning application. We provide the 2D elevations drawings required by your local authority and all of your supporting documents and forms.
