We always love to sink our teeth into a big project, so we were delighted when we got the chance to work on this ambitious home makeover project. Including a loft conversion and rear extension, we created lots of extra room to play with, and the homeowner’s eye for style certainly made this project one to remember!
The ground floor extension
Starting on the ground floor, the homeowners initially wanted a separate utility room, however, we were able to build on this idea and save crucial living space by hiding the appliances in a storage wall. This left loads of space for a huge open plan kitchen and living area. Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors were chosen to connect the room seamlessly with the outdoors, as well as allowing in floods of natural light. Together these design choices create the perfect space for either a quiet night in or a socialising shindig.
Staying with the ground floor, we also combined a once separate lavatory with a bathroom to create one spacious bathroom, big enough for the homeowner’s carved Indian linen cupboard.
Converting the loft
In the loft, we introduced a second bathroom; an ensuite for the large master bedroom at the top of the house. A juliet balcony was also implemented into this bedroom, where the unique view of South-East London can now be fully appreciated. Along with two skylights and a square window, the balcony doors also fill the room with yet more lovely natural light, perfect for keeping a key room nourishing and healthy.
A Britannia blue colour scheme and some unique personal touches from the homeowner finish off this loft bedroom, making it the shining jewel atop a very stylish bespoke home!
