We used both a ground floor wraparound and loft conversion to bring this London home to life. With stylish glazing, open-plan layouts, and ensuites, this is a property with a truly luxurious finish.

Project details
With a wraparound and loft extension, this Victorian terrace in Wandsworth has certainly undergone quite the transformation. Our Connect partners - Home Republic - have done a beautiful job of constructing the designs our team put together. The overall result is a modern interior, which focuses on large communal spaces downstairs and plenty of luxurious personal space up top! Here’s how we made the magic happen.
Our first port of call was expanding the family’s living space. As a Victorian property, there was plenty of unloved space in the adjoining alley. This created an L-shaped rear, which is the perfect shape for a wraparound. We squared off the property and took it a bit further out into the garden, without too much green space getting used up. Because this is a large extension, we wanted to make sure enough natural light was present, so we included skylights across the wraparound, as well as large sliding doors to the rear. We then added in both a kitchen island and dining area, so the family could decide between formal and informal dining.
Upstairs our addition of a loft conversion with a dormer opened up plenty of space. There are bedrooms and playrooms, even ensuites. However, what we pulled together for the master bedroom is really special. Not only does this large space enjoy classic period bay windows, on the way to the ensuite there is also a dressing room, with space enough to house the results of even the biggest shopping spree. Alongside this, the ensuite also boasts both a free-standing bath and a wet room.
For such a large project, it was all hands on deck for the Resi team. We provided an end to end service for this project, managing not only the architectural design but also planning, building regulations, and putting them in touch with a quality contractor. It’s a lot of work but we think the final results are more than worth it!
Meet Tom, the Lead Designer
This is a really beautiful project to have been part of and it’s always a thrill to see designs come to life. In putting this project together, we really tailored it to the family, making sure to note how they used their old space and finding how to make things more intuitive.
