This inspiring project showcases Sam's home, recently renovated with a wraparound extension and loft conversion with Resi.
When Sam bought the house, he initially didn't realise how much work needed doing. After realising he had a doer-upper on his hands, Sam kicked into gear and started to map out what he wanted to change. He did his research, drew up plans of what he had in mind and then went out to find professionals to deliver the work. He explored a few avenues including design and build companies and traditional architects, but settled on Resi as he found us well priced, and he liked the fact that he could get not only architectural support but also contractor support through one service.
As Sam came to us with such a strong idea of what he wanted, he leaned on our expertise about what was feasible from a planning perspective, for working drawings and to appoint the third parties via our Connect service, using the dashboard to track everything as he went. The project ended up being pretty sizeable, with multiple elements. For externals, Sam had both the front and the back facades rendered. Downstairs we extended the kitchen with a showstopper wraparound extension, redid the decking and garden area and relocated the downstairs WC. Previously there was a decent size shower room between the kitchen and the corridor, and a cupboard under the stairs beside. We removed the shower room to lend the space back to the kitchen, slotting in a WC into the cupboard space instead. All the flooring and stairs were redone, and the second floor bathroom was renovated. At the top of the house we converted the loft, gaining them an additional floor comprising of a bedroom and separate bathroom for guest use. What a house!
