This jaw-dropping house is the forever-home of interior designer George, talent agent Richard and their (very cute) cat Peggy.
Located in a quiet area of South-West London boasting bountiful green space and great connections into the city centre, the couple came across the property in 2015 and decided to go for it as, although it wasn't exactly to their taste, they could see the potential.
After living 5 years in the property with renovation firmly on the mind, in 2020 they kicked their project into action and reached out to Resi. With extensive research and George's keen eye for design under their belts, they approached us with a clear vision of what they wanted to achieve and worked closely with our talented designers to bring it to life.
It was out with the old, and in with the new. What is now a beautiful and spacious kitchen extension was previously a draughty and outdated conservatory, which they decided to get rid of in order to extend the rear of the property to full width. This transformation gave them a much cleaner aesthetic - not only from inside the space but also from the garden, as well as a better-performing room in terms of use of space and heat loss. The middle room which is now a snug reading nook was previously the kitchen/diner.
Through the extension they have managed to open up the ground floor to create an open-plan flow through three separate rooms, while also adding in a downstairs WC into the hallway and a hidden pantry space just off the kitchen. The lounge and middle room have a much cosier feel to them, whereas the kitchen boasts a large lantern roof light and bifold doors that open up into the garden flooding the space with natural light, and allowing them to make the most of their charming garden (weather permitting!).
Once we found Resi we didn't look elsewhere. We love the fact that Resi is a one-stop-shop, you really helped us to get our ducks in a row.
The design is classic and simple, and the process was faultless. Very simple, very friendly.
