This beautiful home belongs to Rupert and Nicholas who managed to pull off a speedy renovation project with Resi, completing a loft conversion, ground and first floor remodel, and a rear extension in less than a year.
Rupert and Nicholas were hunting high and low for their dream house and didn't anticipate on buying somewhere that needed work done, but they fell in love with this house which is situated on a quiet street in South Wimbledon. The house had great potential but hadn't been touched in over 35 years, and was in dire need of repair. The couple saw this as their chance to have the Victorian terraced house that they dreamed of, but couldn't afford to buy ready-made. And so after hearing about us through a friend, they reached out to Resi to start the process and get the drawings two months prior to exchanging, so they could submit for planning permission the moment they received the keys.
The couple decided to kick off the project with the loft conversion which gained them an extra bedroom and bathroom, so they had plenty of place to live upstairs while the rest of the house was being renovated. They then moved onto remodelling the first floor and fully renovating downstairs. Typically homeowners come to us with open plan aspirations - Rupert and Nicholas had the opposite, the ground floor was already completely open plan and they wanted to separate it out. So, we added in a wall, with a living room on one side and a spacious kitchen dining area on the other, which we enlarged through a 5m rear extension into the garden.
Our experience with Resi was seamless and enjoyable. It was great having the dashboard so we could access everything throughout the life of the project. The service was great quality for a great price.
We heard about Resi through a friend who used you for their project in Kingston. We didn't even explore the traditional architect route, we just went straight to you. Trust over a recommendation is stronger than stars on a website.
It feels like a totally different house. We've created the home we couldn't afford to buy, but have been able to build. Everything has our own style and touch, and we know why everything is where it is, as we made the decision for it to be there. It's 100% ours, which feels really special.
